The Power of C

Vitamin C is one of the safest and most effective nutrients, experts say. Though it may not be the cure for the common cold, the benefits of vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, and many more.

But this message is not about vitamin C or oranges... at all.

The Power of C for this message is the result of recognizing so many People, Processes and Places that we have here in The Group. I'll explain.

The first Power of C has to be CENTERS. Yes, the 150+ Garden Centers now engaged in The Group through our sharing programs every day, week and year is such a powerful source of knowledge for all involved. The combined knowledge and experience is ever-evolving. Just consider all of the Centers participating – each Owner, Manager, and Staff and their observations and professionalism, each one bringing so much to the table of sharing in The Group.

The second Power of C is COLLABORATION. We often hear people outside of The Group and even our industry express their amazement of the level of collaboration that is in the DNA of The Group experience today.

The third Power of C is CONNECTIONS. We see relationships created and growing following each Fall Event, virtual GROUPtalk LIVE session, and through all of the eList communications each week. Learning more about each Group Center and its programs, strengths, and teams expands the Connections that help each Center excel.

The fourth Power of C is CONSULTING. Our team of Consultants here in The Garden Center Group brings a consolidated level of knowledge and ideas that have been developed over many years. Each Group Consultant has seen what works, what doesn't, and what is changing to provide the needed guidance for maximizing each Center's success. This is an investment that pays 5X to 10X the investment.

The fifth Power of C is CREATIVITY. Witnessing what Creativity is spawned when we see Group Centers and Consultants come together to collaborate and share ideas is evidence of the Creative synergies within The Group experience.

The sixth Power of C is CUSTOMERS. So much of what we do within The Group is focused on the Customer and the Customer experience. Customers are the fuel for each business and its success.

The seventh Power of C is CIRCLES. This is the name of a feature built into The Group WebSystem we have not yet leveraged where each person can create their own Circle of peers to share and collaborate. We will be introducing the concept of Circles during The Fall Event 2023. Much more on this coming in the next few weeks as you see details of The Fall Event 2023 programming.

And I just have to add an eighth Power of C to this message... CINCINNATI! Almost all of the Power of Cs listed above will come together and be intensified exponentially during The Fall Event 2023.

I hope as you start your morning, take your vitamin C, drink a glass of orange juice, or eat a fresh orange you will think about all of these Power of Cs and, of course, your Group experience!
